Norwood Young America City Councilor Chad Eischens submitted his resignation during the council’s recent meeting. He has been on the council since 2005, with his second term set to expire at the end of next year. Eischens did not provide a reason for the resignation, but thanked his family members for their support during his tenure. The Norwood Young America City Council will now appoint a replacement for Eischens to complete the final year of his term. To qualify for the appointment, applicants must be at least 21 years of age and reside within the city limits. Applications are available at Norwood Young America City Hall or on the city’s website, and must be turned in by 4pm on January 9th. The appointment will then be made during the council’s meeting that evening. The seat will be on the ballot next November as well.
