The New Ulm City Council is scheduled to review the results of the City Performance Measurement Survey this (TUE) evening. The survey was sent to a total of 300 randomly selected New Ulm residents, and 175 of them were completed and returned. The survey allowed the survey takers to rate the City’s operations, and the information will be used when considering future New Ulm budgets. The Council will also hold a public hearing on special assessments for Weed and Snow Removal charges, and will consider renewing MR Paving & Excavating’s gravel pit license. Following today’s 5pm New Ulm City Council meeting in city hall, beginning at 6 the council will hold it’s first budget hearing of the year. The proposed increase of the city budget is just over 1%, and the tax levy hike is a 15% increase over this year.
