A Mankato woman is accused of stealing over $48,000 from her father. 57-year-old Vicky Lee-Murphy Valliant faces felony charges for allegedly diverting her father’s money to pay her own medical bills, go out to eat and to help pay for her daughter’s wedding. Investigators are questioning a total of $48,500 worth of payments Valliant made using her father’s power of attorney between December 2009 and July of this year. She reportedly admitted that much of the money was spent on herself and her family and has been charged with felony counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult and theft. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance on January 5th.
