Koch Makes Public Statement 22 Dec 11

Recently resigned Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch is admitting she had a relationship with a Senate staffer, but says she did not violate any laws or Senate rules. Koch made her first public statement Wednesday since resigning the majority leader post last Thursday. She says she made “mistakes and errors in judgment for which I am deeply sorry.” She expressed regret and apologies to constituents, the Republican Party, fellow legislators, friends and her family. Koch said last week that she would not seek re-election next year.
