The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train makes a stop in New Ulm and other local communities this week. The special train comes through the area on Wednesday. It stops in Springfield at 3pm, New Ulm at 5pm, and in Janesville at 9pm. In New Ulm it will stop on the railroad tracks just south of the Third North Street crossing near German Park. The stop benefits the New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf, with everyone attending asked to bring a food shelf donation. The Holiday Train includes a dozen lit-up train cars as well as a special car with musicians performing. Residents of other communities along the way will also be able to view the Holiday Train as it passes through the area.
