Holiday Safe & Sober 23 Dec 11

The holiday season drunk driving crackdown continues across Minnesota. More than 400 law enforcement agencies are taking part in the Safe and Sober effort, including numerous local sheriff’s offices and police departments. There were nearly 30,000 impaired driving incidents in Minnesota last year, and last December 23 people were killed on the state’s roads, and almost 3,000 were injured. Motorists celebrating the season this weekend are reminded to make arrangements for a sober ride home, call a cab, or stay the night where the festivities are taking place.
