The Glencoe Silver Lake School Board is holding a special workshop this (MON) evening to discuss the future of the school district’s facilities. Glencoe Silver Lake voters in November approved an extension of the district’s operating levy by more than 900 votes, but defeated an $18-million building bond by just under 300 votes. The bond issue would have allowed Glencoe Silver Lake to renovate and expand the high school and junior high school buildings, and close down an aging building. Where to go from here on the building issue is the topic of the board workshop this evening. It begins at 5pm inside the Glencoe Silver Lake District Offices.
