The wife of Mankato’s former Public Safety Director has been sentenced to perform 120 hours of community service after pleading guilty to felony theft. 65-year-old Mary Huettl was sentenced for the crime Tuesday. She had originally been charged with 15 counts of theft for stealing over $100,000 from her former employer, US Engravers. The wife of former Mankato Top Cop Jerry Huettl admitted to the unauthorized use of a company credit card for an amount just over $1,000. She was also fined $3,000 for the crime.
