The Nicollet County Board adopted the county’s final budget and property tax levy for 2012 last Tuesday. Next year’s budget for Nicollet County is a 2.5% decrease over this year, and the tax levy is a 1% increase over 2011. Nicollet County Administrator Robert Podhradsky says the 2012 county budget totals around $29.8 million, and the levy for next year will be about $15.7 million. The final Nicollet County budget and levy comes after a total of 10 budget discussions that began as early as April.
