Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Waseca involving a Waseca School District school bus Friday afternoon. The bus was reportedly broadsided in a Waseca intersection at around 4pm by a small Buick driven by an adult female. The force of the collision pushed the bus into an electrical pole, causing it to fall over into the street and knocking out power to parts of the community for a time. The Buick then drove over a sidewalk and crashed into a tree. One juvenile passenger on the bus, the bus driver and the driver of the Buick were taken to the Waseca Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 12-year-old student has since been released. There were reportedly around 20 students on the bus at the time of the accident.
