Minnesotans are extra busy during the holiday season, and blood donations typically drop off in December. But Red Cross Spokesperson Nick Gehrig says patients don’t take a holiday from needing blood. Gehrig is asking local residents to give the gift of life this holiday season. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Springfield Community Center from 1 to 7pm today (MON). There are 2 blood drives in Mankato on Tuesday: from 11 to 3 at the Blue Earth County Library on East Main Street and Noon to 5 at the YMCA on South Riverfront Drive. The Cosmos American Legion is also hosting a blood drive from 1 to 7 on Tuesday. Eligible donors can also give blood at Odeon Hall in Belview from 1:30 to 6:30 on Wednesday, at Jackpot Junction in Morton from 2 to 7 on Thursday, and at the Christian Assembly Church in Waseca from 8 to Noon on Friday.
