Report: NBA Players Allowed In Facilities Thursday
(New York, NY) — The “New York Times” reports the NBA will partially lift the lockout on Thursday. According to the report, players will be allowed to use team facilities and work with team trainers on voluntary conditioning or strength training. However, coaches and players still are not permitted to interact. Additionally, team executives and agents will be allowed to discuss free agent players, but deals cannot be made until the NBA officially reopens. The paper reports the season will begin with five games on December 25th. It’s unclear which teams will play opening day.
The league and the disbanded players association reached a tentative agreement to end the lengthy lockout Saturday morning after a meeting that lasted roughly 15 hours. The nearly five-month lockout wiped out all games that were scheduled in November, but a 66-game schedule is widely expected to begin Christmas Day. Earlier reports have suggested the league will officially reopen for business on December 9th.

To replace those four players on the roster, the Vikes signed safety Jarrad Page, wide out Stephen Burton, long snapper Matt Katula and safety Andrew Sendejo. Minnesota also added tight end Mickey Shuler to the practice squad.
