The Springfield School District has been awarded a $20,000 grant to honor it’s dedication to the betterment of agriculture in rural America. The school was given the $20,000 check during a special presentation earlier this week. The money comes from the Monsanto Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company, which is focused on strengthening farming communities as well as the communities where Monsanto employees live and work. The Redwood Falls Monsanto site nominated the Springfield School District. The school will use the grant to purchase and construct a new ag and science greenhouse.
