First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday and now today is being called Small Business Saturday. Nancy Libersky of the U.S Small Business Administration’s Minnesota District office says the day is dedicated to making sure consumers are shopping at smaller businesses. she says they need extra support this year because of the economy. Libersky says small businesses generate two out of every three jobs and employ more than half of all private-sector workers. This is the second annual Small Business Saturday but the first time it’s been promoted in Minnesota.
