The trial of a Sleepy Eye man accused of sexually assaulting 2 young children for several years gets underway today (TUE) in Brown County Court. 36-year-old Cesar Alejandro Olvera faces 2 counts of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having sexual contact with the 11-year-old and 15-year-old victims. The crimes were reported at the end of January, and Olvera was arrested in February. He posted a non-cash bond in early August and was released from jail. He is facing the possibility of up to 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine for each charge. The trial is expected to take around 2 days.
