Only one person was injured in a 2-vehicle broadside crash on Highway 4 in Martin County Sunday evening. It happened at just after 5pm at the intersection with 100th Street near Sherburne. A 2001 Ford driven by 52-year-old Kent Daniel of Kansas City, Kansas had turned off the highway and stopped, but then backed out into the northbound lane of Highway 4, directly in front of a 2005 Volvo driven by 42-year-old Mirsad Kapic of Waverly, Iowa. A passenger in the Ford, 40-year-old Jewell Harvey of Edwardsville, Kansas was the only person injured, and she has since been released from the Fairmont Hospital. The other 5 people involved escaped injury. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash.
