Local Election Day Roundup 08 Nov 11

It’s Election Day today (TUE), and numerous residents of the KNUJ area have school referendums to vote on. The only local community with municipal elections today is St. Peter. Two candidates are running for the St. Peter City Council Ward 1 seat, 5 people are running for 2 open seats in the city’s Ward 2, and St. Peter Mayor Tim Strand is running for re-election unopposed. Also, the St. Peter, Belle Plaine, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, Central and Milroy School Boards all have elections. School districts with referendum questions being put before voters today include: New Ulm, BOLD, Cedar Mountain, GFW, Glencoe-Silver Lake, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Le Sueur-Henderson, Madelia, Nicollet, Redwood Valley, Sibley East, Sleepy Eye, St. Peter, Truman and Waseca.
