Good Samaritans rescued a Minnesota woman and her 4-year-old daughter from a car wreck on Tuesday. 26-year-old Gretchen Wolbeck of Rice was driving with her daughter in Benton County on Tuesday when their car went off the road and into a creek, where it rolled onto its roof. The car was in up to 3 feet of water with both mother and child still inside. But before rescue crews arrived, Wolbeck and her daughter were saved by two passers-by who used a piece of lumber to break a window. One of the rescuers was 21-year-old Craig Harden of Rice. The other person left the scene before deputies could identify him. Both Wolbeck and her daughter were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
