A Gaylord woman has pleaded guilty to a 5th-degree controlled substance crime for growing marijuana in her home. 40-year-old Sally Ellen Robinette was arrested in October after authorities discovered a total of 14 marijuana plants growing in her home at Westgate Apartments in Gaylord. Police had been called to the apartment complex on a noise complaint, but searched Robinette’s apartment after detecting the smell of marijuana. The plants were found in her bedroom closet, along with growing equipment and other paraphernalia. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered following her guilty plea in court recently, and her sentencing is set for December 15th. If convicted she faces up to 5 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
