Target Field will host its first concert in the summer of 2012. Country music stars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will play the first-ever concert at Minnesota Twins’ stadium on Sunday, July 8th. Chesney and McGraw call their tour ‘Brothers of the Sun’ and have scheduled 18 stops beginning June 2nd in Tampa. Twins president Dave St. Peter says the club expects the Chesney-McGraw event will be the first of many concerts at Target Field. St. Peter says the stadium could become the premiere outdoor music venue in the region. The 39,500-seat ballpark was completed prior to Opening Day 2010 at a cost of $440-million.
