Today (WED) is the last day of autumn by the official meteorological calendar. Weather professionals consider September, October and November as autumn, and this year it’s been the driest on record for much of Minnesota. Areas of southwestern Minnesota have seen less than an inch of precipitation since the summer. Climatologist Greg Spoden says that for much of the state the past three months have been the driest Minnesota has seen in the past 141 years of record keeping.
