Details On Plane Crash That Killed MSU Student 28 Nov 11

Authorities have released more information on the Wisconsin plane crash that killed an MSU-Mankato aviation student on Thanksgiving. 24-year-old Matthew Zocher was piloting the single-engine plane on his way to his family’s home in Merrill when the plane crashed in a heavily wooded area on Thursday. Zocher was alone on board and was dead when rescuers found him. Zocher reportedly had 170 hours of flight training and worked at North Star Aviation as well as going to school at MSU. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to investigate the crash.
