The Morgan Fire Department was called Sunday morning over fears that a grain bin collapsing. This came after the discovery that a Morgan Grain and Feed grain bin off of Front Street in Morgan was kinked. Firefighters arrived on the scene at about 10:30am, and closed down the road over concerns that the bin could collapse on the street. Excel Energy was called as well because a transformer was in the path of the tipsy bin. The pressure on the structure was relieved by opening up the bin from the back and spilling out the grain. The Minnesota Department of Transportation re-opened the road once the bin was being emptied. Officials say that the bin will be taken down or secured until it can be removed.
