A St. Clair man and his girlfriend are both in jail after allegedly threatening to kill a drug informant. 25-year-old Paul Jasper Frantum had been under investigation for the sale of stolen firearms since September. He reportedly recently began to suspect that he was dealing with an undercover police officer, and allegedly made threats to kill the informant. He was then taken into custody on the gun charges. As he was being taken to the Blue Earth County Jail, authorities received word that his girlfriend, 19-year-old Cynthia Marie Hagan had reportedly contacted the informant and threatened to kill him and his family, and burn his house down. Bail for Frantum has been set at $100,000 with conditions, and Hagan’s bail is set at $15,000. Both face felony charges of witness tampering and terroristic threats, and Frantum also faces three firearms related charges. Their first court appearance is scheduled for October 27th.
