The burning ban in Redwood County has been lifted. The ban had been in place due to the recent dry conditions, which prompted Red Flag fire danger warnings across the state. Recent rains have brought some moisture to the area, but caution is still advised when burning and residents are reminded to always check the wind conditions prior to burning anything. Authorities remind Redwood County residents that they must still have a permit to burn and call the Sheriff’s office to let them know when they are burning. Burning bans remain in place in the majority of counties in the KNUJ listening area.
