A Prior Lake man has pleaded guilty in federal court to manufacturing counterfeit postage meter stamps. 31-year-old Andre Mehilove admitted that over about a three-year period he used his personal computer and printer to make thousands of copies of postage meter stamps he’d purchased online. He reportedly joked about how easy it was to make the phony stamps, and admitted to using them to mail items as well as selling them online. Mehilove now faces up to five years in prison. He reportedly agreed to the plea deal in order to avoid deportation to Latvia.
