A New Ulm man faces additional felony drug charges in Nicollet County Court after allegedly attempting to smuggle methamphetamine into the Nicollet County Jail. 31-year-old Jesse Warren Brudelie has been charged with 3rd and 5th-degree possession for this latest incident. He was in jail after a large amount of marijuana was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop in St. Peter, and was being escorted back to jail following a court appearance when officers received a tip he was smuggling drugs. The meth was found in the wristband of his sweatshirt. He faces up to 20 years in prison for the new charges. Brudelie has been charged with numerous crimes in recent years, including burglary, theft, possession, assaulting a police officer and more.
