The last in a series of 8 public hearings to get input on Minnesota’s political boundaries takes place this (FRI) evening in Mankato. A court panel weighing once-a-decade shifts in state political lines starts has been gathering public comments throughout the month. The Chair of the Draw The Line Citizen’s Redistricting Commission, Candi Walz, says they have now heard from hundreds of Minnesotans. Tonight’s redistricting hearing in Mankato takes place from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Blue Earth County Justice Center. The goal of the commission is to make all Minnesota districts roughly equal in population size. Final maps are expected to be issued in February.
