Two people were hurt in a minivan crash in the City of Winthrop today (TUE), one of them a 1-year-old boy. The accident occurred at 10am at the intersection of Highway 19 and Main Street in Winthrop. A 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by 25-year-old Amanda Hacker of Winthrop was eastbound on 19 when it struck a 2007 Dodge Caravan driven by 70-year-old Gerald Pagel of Winthrop as it travelled southbound on Main Street. The Hacker vehicle was attempting to turn south onto Main Street at the time. Hacker’s 1-year-old son Caleb suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Pagel’s passenger, his wife 66-year-old Barbara Pagel was taken to the Hutchinson Hospital with minor injuries as well. Both vehicles took moderate damage.
