The Minnesota Lynx, winners of the 2011 WNBA Championship, will host a parade and championship celebration tomorrow, Tuesday, October 11.
The festivities will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a parade down Nicollet Avenue, leading to Target Center where the championship celebration will commence at 12:15 p.m.
Following the parade, the championship celebration at Target Center will kick off with a video commemorating the Lynx season, followed by a State Proclamation from Governor Mark Dayton. Lynx owner Glen Taylor will address the crowd followed by comments from Lynx players and the coaching staff. Lynx radio play-by-play man Alan Horton will emcee the event.
Both events are free and open to the public. Target Center doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for the championship celebration. Fox Sports North will carry the parade and championship celebration live, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
