Lack Of Qualified MN Workers 26 Oct 11

Business leaders meeting with Governor Mark Dayton during Tuesday’s job summit say they have hundreds of job openings, but can’t find qualified workers to fill them. Some attendees say many Minnesotans should consider the possibility of going back to school to retrain for another career. Dayton has announced that he will roll out an action plan today (WED) to narrow the gap between available jobs and workers who need them. Minnesota’s unemployment rate currently stands at 6.9%.
