A former pastor from the Gibbon area goes to trial on criminal sexual conduct charges this week. 52-year-old David Radtke is accused of sexually touching a 16-year-old foreign exchange student that had been staying with his family. He has been charged with 2 counts of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct, as well as other charges for allegedly intercepting the girl’s email after the alleged sex crimes occurred. He was the pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sibley County’s Moltke Township at the time, and was arrested in Wisconsin in May while on church business after the incidents were reported to authorities. He allegedly gave the girl late-night massages which would lead to him touching her inappropriately. His 3-day jury trial is scheduled to start on Tuesday in Sibley County Court.
