A special open house concerning the future of Highway 4 in and around the City of St. James is taking place this (TUE) afternoon. St. James City Manager Joe McCabe says Mn/DOT engineers and city planners are in the early stages of the development of the project, which would get underway by around 2016. The highway will either be reconstructed through St. James or possibly routed around the city. The public is encouraged to attend the open house today dealing with the reconstruction of Highway 4 through St. James. It is taking place from 2 to 8pm at the Community Building on First Avenue South in St. James. Community residents and businesses are also encouraged to fill out an online survey on the proposed project at www.stjames.govoffice.com.
