A combination of dry crops and the wind is being blamed for helping spread at least 5 separate fires in a field near Le Sueur on Monday. The fires occurred on the farm of Bradley Sasse, who was combining at the time. The fires spread because of the dry conditions, but are believed to have been started by the combine itself. Firefighters from several communities responded to the scene, including Cleveland, Henderson, Le Center and Le Sueur. No injuries have been reported.
