A 20-year-old Belle Plaine man made an appearance in court Tuesday on a felony burglary charge stemming from the theft of $450 worth of candy. Bradley Scott Christensen is accused of breaking into the Belle Plaine Pool with his younger brother this summer for a “midnight swim” and stealing the candy from the pool concession stand. The juvenile brother confessed to the crime after being arrested for selling marijuana. When police searched their home, they also discovered numerous items stolen from around the community throughout the summer. The boy then admitted that they had been involved in multiple acts of vandalism and burglary. More charges are pending against the 2, and authorities believe they are responsible for practically all of the crimes committed in Belle Plaine over the summer.
