3M recently received a special Beyond the Yellow Ribbon award. The company has been involved in the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program since 2009, and was presented the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award during a ceremony in Washington DC. The award recognizes 3M for providing outstanding support to their employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserve, going above and beyond federal requirements. 3M will be celebrating their recognition at a ceremony in Maplewood on October 24th. It is the fifth company from Minnesota to receive this award.
