A southern Minnesota man was hospitalized after his paraglider aircraft crashed into a bean field near Lonsdale Monday night. 78-year-old John Goodoien says he was in the air less than an hour when his paraglider lost power. Authorities located Goodoien at his residence after a passerby had picked him up, and he was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. There is no word on his condition. Rice County officials and the FAA are investigating the crash.
