Authorities have released the identity of a 64-year-old man from rural Lucan killed in an early-morning crash in Cottonwood County Tuesday. Steven Zick was pronounced dead at the scene after his Chevy pickup left the roadway at a curve and struck a driveway embankment. The accident occurred at about 1:45am Tuesday on Cottonwood County Road 7 in Southbrook Township. Zick was apparently the only occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, and says that alcohol was not a factor.
