No leads in newborn in river case 08 Sep 11

The Winona County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the case of a newborn girl found floating in a bag in the Mississippi River Monday afternoon. The sheriff’s department reports they still have no solid leads in the case and is asking for the public’s help. Sheriff Dave Brand reports that his department, along with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Winona County Attorney’s Office conducted interviews on Wednesday but no leads had developed. An autopsy on the infant is being conducted.
