A Sleepy Eye teen was injured in a car crash in New Ulm Wednesday evening. It happened at the intersection of 16th South and Franklin Streets at just after 6pm. A northbound Chrysler van driven by 37-year-old Stephanie Rustin of New Ulm was stopped at a stop sign when it was rear-ended by a Buick Century driven by 17-year-old Mikyla Weilage of Sleepy Eye. Weilage suffered a head injury from striking the vehicle’s windshield and was taken to the New Ulm Medical Center by a private party. Rustin was not hurt. The Buick took moderate damage and the van received only light damage.
