The Marktplatz Mall in New Ulm got 3 new store fronts this week. The Mall’s new tenants are Head Start, Body Essentials, and an Evangelical Free Church office site. The church is looking to establish a community presence in New Ulm with the possibility of constructing a stand-alone facility in town. Body Essentials relocated from it’s former location on South Broadway in New Ulm, and now has more space and the ability to customize to the needs of it’s cutomers. Head Start moved from Jefferson Elementary because the school needed the classroom. The mall location gives Head Start more space, and the organization’s shuttle will continue to operate, with children being dropped off at the mall’s entrance. A Head Start open house at the Mall is scheduled for Thursday, September 8th, and classes start September 12th. Marktplatz Mall owner Randy Danielson says that 2 more businesses are planning to rent space in the Mall in the near future as well.
