Gas leak leaves hundreds without service 27 Sep 11

CenterPoint Energy says there are still a few hundred customers in western Minnesota without natural gas after a pipeline break Friday afternoon. CenterPoint’s Rebecca Virden says over 100 workers came to Morris, Hancock and Benson to shut off natural gas to all 36-hundred customers until the pipeline was repaired Saturday morning. Crews then had to go back to each customer, turn the gas back on, make safety checks and re-light pilot lights.
