A storage building at Prairie Pride Farms in rural St. Clair was destroyed by a fire this (FRI) morning. The call for the fire at the Roger and Dawn Hubmer farm was received at about 9:30 a-m, and firefighters had the blaze under control within about an hour-and-a-half. No injuries have been reported. The lost building was an old garage mainly used for shipping, and contained no animals. A nearby freezer trailer was heavily damaged as well. Damage estimates are not available at this time. A defective freezer is believed to be the cause of the fire.
