Fall Foliage Update 19 Sep 11

The Fall Foliage season is well underway in northeastern Minnesota. The DNR reports leaves are about halfway to their peak in parts of St. Louis and Lake Counties, and despite ongoing wildfires visitors are still welcome in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Meanwhile, the change is just getting started across the rest of the state with the earliest fall colors now starting to appear in south-central Minnesota, as well as the lower Red River Valley and along the Mississippi River near Winona.
