Authorities have released more information on the killing of a suicidal man in Mankato Thursday night. Mankato Police Officer Timothy Patrick Spellacy responded to the call of a suicidal man at a home on Byron Street in Mankato at just before 9:30pm. He reportedly encountered an armed man outside the residence who has since been identified as 31-year-old Jonathan David Hess.
