A portion of Highway 60 just west of Lake Crystal was closed late Wednesday morning following a semi-truck rollover. The westbound Freightliner truck was hauling asphalt when a front tire apparently blew out about 2 miles west of Lake Crystal near the ethanol plant at approximately 11:20. The driver, 58-year-old William McDermott of Winnebago lost control of the truck and it entered the median and rolled several times. McDermott was airlifted to the Mankato Mayo Hospital, and his injuries are said to be non life-threatening. The truck took severe damage. Lake Crystal Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
