A Slew Of Deadly Crashes So Far In August 09 Aug 11

At least 13 people have died in state highway crashes since August first – the third-deadliest week of the year on Minnesota roads. State Patrol Lieutenant Eric Roeske says in addition to lack of seat belt use, most of the crashes involved speed, alcohol, inattention or a combination. Roeske says the Memorial Day and Fourth of July periods also saw a spike in highway deaths.
